Throughout her career, she's shared the stage with international superstars. From performing with Prince's band in the infamous Jazzmines Jazz Club (in Minneapolis, USA), to singing along with the Grammy award-winning gospel group, Sounds of Blackness, Tameka's list of accolades is truly something special. Tameka's talents have taken her all over the world, performing in several different countries with Tina Turner's band. She was even hand-selected by Janet Jackson to promote Pepsi ("Ask For More") in Germany.
Here in England, Tameka has shared the stage with Roland & Curt (Tears for Fears), Shelia Ferguson, Randy Crawford, Pebbles, Janet Jackson, Jaki Graham, Kym Mazelle, Sonique, and so many more. Known also for her powerful duets, Tameka has performed with Lynden David Hall, the late Mobo award winner of "Sexy Cinderella" fame. At one point Tameka sang back up for M-People, during their 'Northern Soul' tour. Perhaps Tameka's most talked about performance stems from her portrayal of Janet Jackson in "Stars in their Eyes", in 1991.
While her countless performances with notable artists have always been highlights of her career, Tameka has received her own chart climbing success, and has appeared on popular music television programs like The Tube, The Word, MTV, and Top of the Pops.
Most recently, Tameka has been performing with The American Motown Show/The American Dream, which has been the headline act on many different Royal Caribbean Cruise lines for nearly ten years now.
